Visitors to the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show are in for a high-performance treat as Bendix gears up to present its most comprehensive commercial vehicle brake range to date. Known for innovation and reliability, Bendix will be exhibiting an impressive lineup of friction solutions tailored to trucks, trailers, and light commercial vehicles—from rugged mining 4WDs to long-haul prime movers.
Held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 15 to 18, this year’s show will see Bendix at Stand 274, where visitors can explore the advanced technology behind the ProTrans™ and ProTrans™ HD brake pad ranges, brake shoe kits, and the cutting-edge Ultimate 4WD™ Electric Park Brake systems.
Advanced Brake Pad Technology – ProTrans™ Range
At the core of Bendix’s commercial lineup are the ProTrans™ Disc Pads, engineered with advanced surface formulations to deliver exceptional high-temperature resistance and reduced wear. These features translate directly to increased performance and lower maintenance costs for fleets and owner-operators alike. Thanks to Titanium Stripe bedding-in technology, drivers benefit from consistent pedal feel and confident braking from the moment they hit the road.
Meeting the stringent ECE-R90 regulation standards, ProTrans™ pads are tested for braking effectiveness, cold performance, and speed sensitivity—ensuring compliance and confidence on Australian and international roads. Additional benefits include reduced brake noise and straightforward installation, making them a workshop favourite.
For extreme-duty applications, such as refuse trucks, ProTrans™ HD Disc Pads are purpose-built to perform under the harshest loads and conditions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum safety.
Locally Engineered. Locally Proven.
What sets Bendix apart is its investment in local validation. The company’s Australia-exclusive commercial vehicle dynamometer enables rigorous in-house testing for compliance, wear rates, and real-world performance. Capable of simulating axle loads up to 20 tonnes and equipped with an airflow-adjustable cooling system, the Bendix dyno mimics true road conditions—from desert heat to highway haul.
This ensures Bendix products are fine-tuned for the unique demands of Australian fleets.
Game-Changing Electric Park Brake Solutions
Also on display will be the Bendix Electric Secondary Park Brake system for Toyota LandCruiser 76, 78, and 79 Series—vehicles commonly found in mining, emergency response, and rugged terrain work. Introduced in 2023, this system has quickly become an OH&S essential, delivering superior holding capability and helping to prevent dangerous “roll-away” incidents.
The fully bolt-on system works in tandem with the OE park brake, requiring no modifications to the hydraulic system or brake pads. Installation is straightforward, ADR compliance is retained, and no engineering sign-off is needed—making it a smart, compliant upgrade for any 4×4 operator.
A similar kit is available for Toyota Hilux N80 4×4 models (2015 onwards), with the added benefit of a Drum-to-Disc conversion, upgrading to 312mm diameter Bendix rotors for stronger braking and ease of service.
Meet the Experts
Bendix product specialists will be on-hand throughout the show, offering expert guidance to drivers, fleet managers, and workshop professionals. Whether you operate a single vehicle or manage a national fleet, Bendix staff can match the right solution to your operational needs.
