Fuso's best take the honours at annual awards ceremony

Fuso celebrated the winners of its Dealer of The Year awards for 2016 at a ceremony in Melbourne recently.

Daimler Truck and Bus Managing Director, Daniel Whitehead, praised the contribution of its dealer network.

“Fuso had yet another year of growth in 2016, which was our biggest year since the GFC, and our strong customer-focused dealership network is at the core of this success,” he says.

Mr Whitehead and Fuso Truck and Bus Director, Justin Whitford, presented the award for the Metropolitan Dealer of the Year to Daimler Trucks Adelaide Dealer Principal, David Reid.

Mr Whitford says Fuso Truck and Bus Australia undertook a significant transformation in 2016 and that Daimler Trucks Adelaide embraced these changes, building upon its business in both sales and customer service functions.

“Outstanding sales growth was a key component of the award, in addition to brand marketing activations and customer service delivery,” Mr Whitford says.

Mr Whitehead and Mr Whitford presented the award for Rural Dealer of the Year to Cameron O’Hara, Dealer Principal of Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast.

“Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast has done an outstanding job of selling Fuso trucks, and just as importantly, it has also done a great job of looking after members of the Fuso family,” he says.
The 2016 Sales Person of the Year award was presented to Leon Benivento from Daimler Trucks Huntingwood, Sydney.

“Leon is a real star and a great representative of our brand,” Mr Whitford says.

The 2016 Rookie of the Year award was won by Muzammil Syed, from Hallam Truck Centre in Dandenong, who was praised for his enthusiasm for Fuso product.

Leon Baker of Daimler Trucks, Gold Coast, won the award for Parts Manager of the Year, thanks to his excellent product knowledge and planning.

The Service Manager of the Year went to David Centofanti of Daimler Trucks Adelaide, who was congratulated for his commitment to keeping the customer on the road.
